Circumcision
- Circumcision is a safe procedure for men which generally involves a surgical intervention to provide relief from a range of conditions.
A circumcision could be right for you if you have the following symptoms:
- Balanitis (swelling of the foreskin)
- Balanoposthitis (inflammation of the tip and foreskin of the penis)
- Paraphimosis (inability to return a retracted foreskin to its original position)
- Phimosis (inability to retract the foreskin)
Alternatively, a frenulectomy may be suitable for you. This is a less invasive procedure requires half the recovery time.
The Circumcision Surgery
Our clinic offers two types of circumcision procedure:
Full or Classic Circumcision:
- In this case, the entire foreskin is removed
- The glans is completely exposed at all times
- Either have a narrow or wide cuff behind the glands, depending on examination findings
Partial Circumcision:
- The most popular circumcision procedure
- Only remove the mechanical stricture – correcting the concern
- It is executed exactly like a classical circumcision, except less foreskin is removed
- The procedure is slightly more complicated and takes a little longer to perform
- Recovery is a bit slower, requiring more focused aftercare.
- A more natural appearance afterward, compared to a classic circumcision
